Installation Steps for Underfloor Heating Mats:

1. Planning Your Layout - Sketch out a detailed plan to determine the placement of your heating mats, ensuring even coverage and considering the layout of your room.

2. Preparation of Sub-Floor - Ensure that the sub-floor is solid, level, clean, and free of dust. For wooden floors, consider reinforcing with plywood or a suitable tile backer board for added stability.

3. Laying the Mat - Begin by rolling out the first heating mat with the mesh side facing down. The mat can be repositioned multiple times until you are satisfied with its placement.

4. Adjusting for Obstructions - When you encounter an obstruction, carefully cut the mat without cutting the heating cable. Then, flip the mat and continue laying it in the opposite direction to work around the obstacle.

5. Positioning the Floor Sensor - Locate the floor sensor, included in the thermostat box, halfway between the runs of heating elements. Securely place it within the subfloor, ensuring it is housed within a corrugated tube for protection.

6. Encapsulation of Heating Elements - Thoroughly cover the heating elements with a flexible self-leveling compound or tile adhesive, making certain they are fully encapsulated without any air pockets for optimal heat distribution and safety.
